  1. Honestly I dont think anything really did surpise me, after all this is the age of technology and we all are growing in it. I do agree that technology does not affect how a person acts and treats others, i think it is all in their mind. Game systems has been blamed so much for kids behaviors but i believe it starts at home with their personal lives first then at school where they spend most of their times. I would also agree that they would need WI-FI on all the hiways because i like the fact that I would be able to have access to internet at all times and not just through my phone. I dont believe i have much for questions here. Also i would agree to use netbooks more then having to use text books because text books are so dang expensive and if ur going to be spending money on reading materials then might as well spend it on the new age.

  2. The thing that was a little surprising was the thought of having Wi-Fi from the highway corridors. This move in to internet usage would make traveling alot easier for the people that don't have G.P.S

What happens to the gadgets that will eventually crash and the programs are upgraded so much, would they have to be downgraded and have to restart from scratch with the upgrading processes again?

  3. Why should schools not spend more money on textbooks than 'techbooks'? Where I work the word textbook is the most wrong word to say during a staff meeting. What is believed among the admin. is that the school is growing in the technology world and should be able to use more technology in the classrooms. I agree with the admin. Textbooks are only one source of information, while the internet can have many variations of what is being taught or learned.

Why should the students of today have to stay in the past when technology is there to help move them forward?

I agree with what Amanda said about how we live in a growing technology world and ourselves must grow along with it. One word can explain it all...Textbooks.

  4. Well I was surprised on the way people really use technology in every day life. It's really hard to keep up with the technology today. I feel that some times people technology has a lot to do how the world is today. Children have games, Videos,IPods etc. make them go crazy. But we as parents need to get more information on technology. Question Why do we depend on technology so much?

  5. I wasn't really surprised by any of the article.

I do however, question the saftey of having Wifi while we are on the road. We are already having trouble with our misuse of the cell phone. How much more of a danger will internet access give us?

I agree with Amanda, when she says that technology has been blamed for the actions of children and young adults. It is up to the parent/guardian to monitor what a child watches. We've been doing it for years.

  6. I also wasn't to surprised by the blog, we are eyeballs deep in technology, we have the internet on phones, that wasn't possible 15 years ago, and it's only going to keep getting faster ang I bet smaller. I would have to agree with Amanda there is bad things out there and it is our job as parents to monitor the danger.

  7. What was surprising to me was that I thought this was a great list technology is getting so advanced. I agree about the digital divide. We absolutly need universal Wifi internet access. We all need the opportunities to enrich our lives, and out world. What would if one day we have all of this set up, and the system crashes. It would be total chaos.

  8. What Surprised me was that Technology is growing each day and is made to make our lives easier or so i read. Universal WiFi will make our jobs more productive cause we wont have to sit by a desktop all the time we can go Mobile with it now. I do agree with Richenda cause we do depend on Technology so much that one it all goes now due to some forces outside of earth and we would be sent back to the stone ages.

  9. 1. what surprised me was that they want students to meet strangers because they are isolated. it was weird because what if something does happen online and there is a threat?
    2. What does your theory do if something does happen to a student online? what if a threat is made?
    3. i agree with april on her post. it is honetly hard to keep up with tech in the world. we can barely get used to something and then we have to use something new.
