Next week, you will present a sample group website to the class along with your reflections on the process.

  4. Tammy's Group
    1. http://pbworks.com/
  5. Ryan's Group
  6. Working together, create a social website about any topic you choose- preferably nothing to do with education!
  7. Requirements-
    1. Have some amount of content- links, pictures, text, anything.
    2. All group members must have their own accounts and add something to the site.
  8. Reflection:
    1. One member of your group, post a comment to this blog post including the following:
a) Link to your site: _________________

This site will show the many aspects that sports have an effect on the many individuals in high school. The classroom could keep adding ideas or videos to help support their topic.

More students can express their feelings or ideas on one page so all can see.

The cons of this page is that students could abuse the site or page and use for the wrong reasons.

  2. http://whambam.ning.com/

This site could possibly work in a classroom by giving the students any information that they may need for a project if they are studing about horses.

The pros about this tool is that everyone can have access to the same page and be able to share with each other their thoughts about the subject. Everyone could be linked up with each other including the teacher.

The cons is that there are some who doesnt have access to a computer let alone the internet, and therefore may find it hard to work on their own time outside of the classroom. The students may also not use the site correctly and abuse what is given to them.

  3. This would work in a classroom by teaching the students about the state that they live in. Giving insight into the places they would be able to explore.

The pros are that a group of people can keep this sight updated.

The cons not everyone is on the same level when it comes to technology and the sights are difficult for anyone unfamiluar with making a web page.
